Art builds bridges. Creativity is more than a luxury…it is an essential part of the life Jesus promised. We sing, dance, paint, write, act, and create as a way of worship and speaking God’s beauty in a broken world. We join with artists in and outside of the church to collaborate and foster greater artistic expression in our church and the wider community.

Did you know that the first time in the Bible we encounter a person who is filled with the Holy Spirit, he is an artist?

Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills — to make artistic designs…”

-Exodus 31:1-4

So, what do the Arts look like at Tree of Life?: We envision running arts camps, art shows, workshops, hosting arts groups, and holding seminars with accomplished leaders in the arts. We envision the arts being employed with regularity in the life and worship of the church.

OTHER WAYS TO CONNECT

Tree of Life’s community garden ministry exists to connect people to God and one another through common work.
We seek to help children, in a fun and safe environment, grow in relationship with others, God, and family.
Hospitality reaches across worldview to be the bridge of gospel grace. Jesus did not come with self-defense. He came with bread. He came with fish. So too must we.
We join with artists in and outside of the church to collaborate and foster greater artistic expression in our church and the wider community.
